In the last two days, bombs were sent to at least seven Democrats who have specifically been the subject of relentless, false and vicious attacks by Trump. After three years of rallies encouraging violence, and casting those who received bombs as a clear and present danger to the American way of life, last night at another rally, he called on everyone to do some soul searching – except himself.
How many times have we said, now’s his chance to lead, to unify, to start to bring the country together? There has never been a second of soul searching on his part; that requires having a soul, a conscious, a sense of ones self in relation to the rest of humanity that is something other than a battle to be won, riches to be taken, power to be wrestled, adoration to be gained.
He doesn’t have it. He never has by all accounts of those who know him best. Even his closest admirers only speak of him glowingly within the context of how much he wins, how indomitable he is, how good his instincts are for the PR battles, how he is never out of a fight. Nobody acknowledges, much less admires any sense of what could be called morality within him.
Except those who claim the mantle of Jesus, but that is for another post…
At the rally he primarily did what he does with the women he’s been accused of assaulting, attack and blame the victims of the bomb attacks, specifically the “fake news media.” Lets be clear, NOT ONE INSTANCE OF HIS CLAIMED “FAKE NEWS” HAS BEEN PROVEN TO BE FAKE. As factcheck.org noted, “When published news stories contain wrong – not “fake” – information, news organizations correct the record. They may even retract the story or take disciplinary action if the mistake was serious enough.”
So, as usual, his statement begins with a lie. Then proceeds to pull another Trump and accuse others of EXACTLY what he so often does (Lyin’ Ted, crooked Hillary, fake news media, etc.) and say they need to “stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories.”
And there you have it… The Full Trump. Accept no blame for something he clearly had a major part in causing, falsely accuse others of the exact wrong he himself has done, score political points in just another of what he sees as battles where either he wins of loses.
This is not someone who has the morals, and therefore does not have the ability to lead a nation. He has no interest in doing so. He wants to lead an army of sycophants into a battle to vanquish and minimize or jail those who oppose him. A 3rd world dictator. And 43% of voters approve of this, mostly because of the actual “fake news” at Fox and others who amplify his hate, and likely also had a direct hand in these bombings.
